Is every result based on manufacturer data?

No. We use suitable manufacturer data where it is available. For other supported devices, CarbonTrace uses a calculation model. The available source data and assumptions remain visible with the result.

Can I use the results in sustainability reporting?

You can use CarbonTrace results as IT data within your reporting process. Suitability depends on the sources, assumptions and scope of your report. A calculation alone is not an independently verified environmental claim.
