How accurate are the numbers?

Accuracy depends on the source, exact configuration and modelling inputs. Applicable manufacturer phases are preserved; missing data is modelled and labelled. A universal ±5% accuracy claim or statistical confidence interval is not established.

Can I use this for CSRD reporting?

Yes, as an IT reporting input. CarbonTrace provides data about recorded IT assets, with sources and methodology details. These are inputs to a broader CSRD/ESRS reporting process; they do not establish complete compliance.

Does the data live in the EU?

Yes. Primary database in Frankfurt (Supabase, eu-central-1). Payments via Mollie (Dutch). Email via Resend. Edge functions occasionally serve from non-EU regions for latency, with Standard Contractual Clauses in place.

Can I cancel anytime?

Manage your subscription in Settings → Billing. You can review your billing period, renewal date and cancellation options there.

What happens at my plan limit?

When you reach a usage limit, additional usage of that feature is restricted. Review your usage in the dashboard, upgrade if you need more capacity, or wait for the relevant allowance to reset.

Do you support [my unusual device category]?

CarbonTrace covers 48 IT categories. If yours is missing, send the category and any manufacturer or source data; our team will assess it for the roadmap.

Can I white-label certificates?

Yes — Business plan and above. Your logo, your colour, your footer details on every certificate, plus on the public verification page.

What about API rate limits?

API access and daily quotas depend on your plan. The pricing comparison lists the current limits. Handle rate-limit responses in your integration and avoid immediate repeated retries.

Can I self-host?

CarbonTrace is provided as a hosted service. Contact us to discuss your deployment requirements; a self-hosted edition is not a publicly available plan.
